Misting Systems

Heading into Winter, it’s Time to Focus on Humidification (Part Two)

By September 22, 2014February 21st, 2020No Comments

Capture2As we enter the colder months of the year, the air becomes drier.  Managing humidification for greenhouse propagation can be a critical step to ensure healthier plants and greater yield from the crop.  Fogco offers a range of solutions, including traditional static line systems, low-pressure air injection systems, and our proprietary line of Revolution products. These specialized products provide an efficient and effective means of maintaining high levels of humidification.

The main purpose for adding humidity for greenhouse propagation is to create an environment where plants will thrive.  This capability will promote increased health and productivity within the greenhouse by eliminating ‘plant water stress’, one of the most significant factors in the growth of all plants.

Plants lose their moisture through evaporation from the leaves. They also gather carbon needed for growth in the form of carbon dioxide through the leaves. By controlling the plants pores with a properly designed misting system, the results are stronger and healthier plants with optimum growth potential.

Fog 2Depending on the size of your greenhouse, the type of plants you are growing, and other factors, the exact humidification requirements and system design will vary. The system can also be designed to provide necessary cooling within the greenhouse.

When you add humidity to your greenhouse, you can achieve better results. You will have a greater product yield with plants that are generally undamaged, even if your greenhouse is in a location with extreme temperatures. Overall, this can save you time and money for both small hobby houses and large commercial greenhouse facilities.

Greenhouse propagation is just one of the reasons why the Fogco humidification system can be useful. At Fogco, we are here to provide you with the tools you need any time you need to cool or humidify your buildings and greenhouses.
